Weather alert: Fog blankets parts of UAE, police issue advisory

Motorists are urged to drive carefully.
Motorists were urged to take caution as thick fog covered many parts of the country on Thursday morning, bringing visibility to less than 1,000 metres.
In a statement, NCM said that poor visibility is expected at times over some internal and coastal areas till 8:30am, Thursday.
The fog was reported over Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi - Al Ain Road, Sweihan, Abu Dhabi International Airport and in Al Bahya in the early hours on Thursday.
Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to drive carefully and reduce speed, while highlighting the importance of leaving an appropriate gap between vehicles to avoid accidents.
Sharing today's weather report, the NCM said the day will be fair to partly cloudy at times. Temperature tend to increase gradually.
The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.
Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times during afternoon.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Gulf of Oman.
According to the NCM, temperatures are expected to decrease across the country during the coming days.
