In a statement, Saudi's Minister of Education Dr Hamad Al-Sheikh noted that the decision is an affirmation of the leadership's interest in safeguarding the health of all students and education personnel from the risks of being infected with the deadly virus.
The announcement is the latest in a series of new precautionary measures undertaken by the Kingdom this month to limit the spread of the pandemic in the country.
These included the suspension of all public entertainment, events and indoor dining, as well as the closure of cinemas and other entertainment centres.
